Inspired by https://zirk.us/@SFFMagazineCovers/112697601308463706 from SciFi/Fantasy Magazine Covers (npub1jcy…20yu) , leece (npub1wvd…drwx) and I started wondering what you would call this sort of very ordinary horror.
The sort of horror that comes about because of a vague ineptness. Such as the guy who sinks a ship by trying to bake a cake. Or the dude who destroys a city by failing to parallel park.
After considerable discussion (well, a couple of minutes, any way), leece (npub1wvd…drwx) came up with "Plebeian Horror" as sort of a counterpoint to "Cosmic Horror".
I can now see a sort of low budget 5 minute "Just Before Sunset Zone" series of shorts featuring these terrible but somehow dull horror stories.
