Before I realized I'm an anarchist, my father gave me this book in audio form. I remember listening and re-listening, internalizing the analysis of these different historical views of the state and government from major influencers. I knew these ideas were wrong but wanted to be able to articulate them better, and this book did a great job dismantling communism, hobbsianism, and the ideas of Utopia generally. It's been a while since I heard it, but I remember being impressed.
