a Japanese composer I've recently become acquainted with - the guy wrote A LOT so I bet anything I say will ....be inaccurate and wrong. But he writes VERY evocative stuff, he has no fear of harmonic perversity, there's a little Debussy in here, a little Cage, a little Western music, a little Japanese. It's fascinating.
