Fe₂🦀₃⋅H₂🦀 (npub1y6t…9wl9) Pawlicker 🐾😹 (npub1j4p…z0qp) That's the dumb part, a lot of Chromebooks can't dual boot. COS's Linux support is to run Linux in a VM inside COS, which kills the resources.
Google has been making it as hard as possible to get at the boot loader, because everyone recognizes the ideal device is a $100-$200 Chromebook's form factor with proper Linux.
There's some guys on eBay who will sell Linux-running Chromebooks, but you have to be careful with the specs. Chromebook hardware starts out cheap but scales up badly for some reason. You can go from $200 models to $700 models, and all you get is a touch screen and 50% more processing power.
