Two things I tend to do when I wake up in the middle of the night:
(1) I guess how much time I have remaining before my alarm sounds, based on how my eyes feel when I try to opem them. I amaze myself with my accuracy.
(2) I pray for whoever happened to be in the dream I woke up from, which helps me to drift back to sleep.
