I’ve been watching these dumb YouTube videos of people who take trains around and I want to go see some of my friends in LA. So you’re thinking it would be easy to take a train from NYC to LA. You fool! You heel! You buffoon! You absolute scalawag!
It is the opposite.
The trains are all on different rails, which means you can’t just book a train like a direct flight. You have to go through all these insane various loops to get to where you are going. So a train from New York to Chicago is a completely different service than Chicago to Denver. THEN you have to get from Denver to LA via some other route. Wtf?
