However, I'm mildly discomforted about the word trans in that it implies that someone is changing or transitioned their gender. Because as far as I can tell from here, a better way to think about what's happening is that a 'trans' person isn't changing anything about their gender, they're just no longer pretending they are of their assigned-at-birth gender.",
