I did not realize that jackals were so small. They only weigh 6–13 kg, which means luna (npub1fg0…7zxs), at 8.5 kg, is in their weight class.
And despite yet their small size, jackals live all over the Old World, next to hyenas and lions and all sorts of dangerous animals. I wouldn't bet on Luna to hold her own against a chunky raccoon.
