I wasn't very clear. I wasn't talking about just IP laws. But IP laws are based on the assumption that you can own an idea. Ideas aren't scarce.
As soon as you share or use an idea in the world it's no longer scarce. An idea multiplies and grows or dies.
It's different than your private key. You can use your private key without revealing it to the world.
