I think pandering specifically to black American citizens, as a minority voting block, is becoming increasingly difficult because we've become such a diverse demographic, with increasingly varied biographies. Once you remove everyone who is a first or second-gen immigrant, mixed-raced, rural, in an interracial relationship or family, military or ex-pat, Latino, obsessed with Bitcoin or crypto, conservative Christian or Muslim, upper-class, etc., you're like down to 50 people in Augusta. 😅
This has been masked, for a long time, because the older population was so homogenous and uniform.
Younger black people don't usually define ourselves, primarily, as black people.
