not only the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate is subordinate to the Moscow Patriarchate BUT the Moscow Patriarchate is subordinate to the Kremlin.
it's not a free Church, but an institution of the Russian state which now is at war with Ukraine.
btw the Moscow Patriarchate has been accused of the heresy of ethnophyletism (subordination of the Church to a particular nation) by several other Orthodox Churches.
