McKenzie River Trail Backpacking: Wrap

Here are some more photos from my trip. On day 3 I started hiking around 4 a.m. to hike out and drive back to Portland.

Blue Pool was an amazing thing to see. A lava flow 1,600 years ago buried a 3 mile section of the McKenzie River. The river resurfaces through porous lava, creating a pristine turquoise blue colored pool.
