I’ve taken up the cheaper policy, I’ll cancel the Churchill renewal tomorrow. When a company takes the piss that much they don’t get a chance to match the quote I’ve found, I just tell them they were too expensive and that’s it.
It’s a bit like tyre shopping. When a tyre fitter says “call back of you get a cheaper price” my response is “I won’t be calling back, I asked for a price and you’ve given it. If you can go lower, this is your only chance to do so”. Works like a charm.
