There's a reason Very Serious Person diplomacy in the Middle East is geared around the "normalization" of relations, i.e., twisting arms to try and get Israel's neighbors to throw Palestinians under the bus in exchange for regional stability, which itself is mostly about oil prices and access to other resources.

It's also why the US continually throws its veto in the way of any attempt to hold Israel accountable for violating international law, which it's been doing for decades.
