When I was upgrading my $700 system to what I will be riding out for a long time I had a friend who had a friend who was a big digital media guy who happened to also be a serious audiophile who knows a lot of the big names in that world. His personal system was a purist's dream. Nice vinyl setup to a fully analog prima luna tube integrated tube amp to long out of production high efficiency spactial audio open baffle speakers. These are the big name in open baffle but efficient enough for tubes.
