When you’ve done a particular job and made sure you did it as best you could, and even though the technology made things weird and difficult you worked around it and applied craft to it, so that it would work well and do what it needed to do without causing problems, it’s really hard to see someone doing it now with no care or thought or craft or diligence, and what’s more they don’t know or care whether it does the job or not.
