It’s difficult to put a number on this.
I use more character background, but compared to the whole, it’s little. That sprinkled in past more influences & guides than it appears as facts.
The amount is less for worldbuilding because there’s so much. I’ve been expanding it for two decades, & worked on it for one before I started writing any of it down. Then again, maybe all the little bits add up.
