As an attorney who used to work on death penalty cases, it’s normalized to me that SCOTUS decisions mean life or death. But that’s in criminal justice setting, where there has been proof beyond a reasonable doubt, or a good shake at it.
Not the randomness of a person finding themselves pregnant and ill in Idaho.
