I agree that Congress completely abdicated their responsibility via the War Powers Act. your obsession with direct democracy (or disingenuousness IDK) would be even more of a shit show if the US was ever directly attacked at home and had to respond. administrations have wanted to go to war with Iran for years but know it would be too unpopular. we left Vietnam cause it was unpopular. yes, pro war propaganda is thick.
