yeah, "don't be emotional" is an immediate indication that the person either doesn't have emotions or fetishizes suppressing them. I don't trust anybody who thinks like that.
Emotions set us apart from machines. If you feel nothing, stuff like causing mass-scale harm in the name of profit/technological advancement becomes reasonable and acceptable.
That only ever leads to one outcome—something we ought to know well by now. The phrase "banality of evil" comes to mind.
