Yesterday we were living in limbo waiting to hear if Buffy’s carcinoma had spread to her lungs. Fortunately it hasn’t, and now we are talking with the vet about having it removed. She’s old and they are concerned that she might not recover from the anaesthetic but I think we are going to risk it because the idea of letting the tumour eat her alive is abhorrent. I’d rather she went peacefully by not waking up than live on a couple of months, feeling bad, before we have to euthanize her.
