Just in the last few hours they have upgraded #LosAngeles county's #tropicalStorm watch to a tropical storm warning. It's going to get really wet, folks. I would suggest quickly reading the first chapter of John McPhee's Control of Nature, and then finding a place that is dry and isn't on an alluvial fan or in a wash. I hope the cities that have people living in storm drains and along dry/gentle watercourses during the summer are making sure they are cleared out and the residents given good shelter.
