My retirement formula
1. Don’t put a penny to trad 401k
2. Collect your employer’s match to trad 401k by matching the match into a Roth 401k
3. Save every penny you can afford to, ideally > 50% of take home, into post tax retirement accounts, market symbols such as $SCHD and physical gold
4. Slowly replace your 9-5 slave pay with dividends over time until it is completely replaced, then retire either literally or in spirit near 40.
