I know of countless other distros, same laptop, KDE or GNOME where they have suspend issues.
This does not take away from the truth of your experience. Doesn't work is doesn't work. Full stop. I will never tell your experience isn't relevant.
But I'd be curious what the logs say. Something in that KDE config inhibiting suspend or, something associated with the distro's implementation of said KDE install.
Moreless curious as it interests me professionally. :)
