My not-a-lawyer take: Aileen Cannon is a debate kid, which means she’s a mediocre dipshit. She’s not stupid, per se. She knows lots of big vocabulary words and uses them correctly. She’s memorized lots of talking points and knows when to apply them. But that’s about it. If you tried to probe beneath the talking points, you wouldn’t find anything.
