Why would the military be more effective under the leadership of people who don't even like government?
The right plays up "meanness" as if it also implies competence. Being a jerk isn't "realistic" -- It's just being a jerk?
The right isn't really all that interested in the intricacies of state craft, logistics, or planning.
It's just another opportunity to help the people they like make money. At best.
(Do not assume by "right" I just mean Republicans.)
