I think the worst part of the ideation is that it doesn’t believe in change.
If I could walk up to my younger self and show them how different things are for me now, how staying in life has been worth it over and over again, how some of the worst pains can be more healed than not, it could counter with evidence that terrible lie that ‘I’ll feel bad forever so I might as well leave’.
I would also hug and hold them a long time if they’d let me. ❤️‍🩹
