i got the package of cat harnesses and leashes yesterday afternoon, and this morning i have fitted little #mochi the #catstr with one that seems to work nicely.
going to just leave it on him for a week or so so he gets used to wearing it first, and when the sun comes out i'm gonna take him for a walk up the caminho, away from places where he might pick up ticks or more nasty parasites.
it was funny, right after i put it on him, he turned all smoochy and wanted lap time and was face-bumping hard against me and purring his head off, tail not wagging very much. feels like he has an intuition that this harness means he will get some sunshine.
i'm betting that giving him some sunshine, and me also getting some, is going to improve our health a lot.
i'm starting to get a lot better now, losing weight, i can feel more strength in my abdominals now and the cramping problems are reducing. hopefully for him it will reduce his vulnerability to the ear mites and help him clear out the congestion in his lungs. getting air purifiers in the house also has been important. the cat litters are so dusty they make me cough and he's right in it doing his business.
i wish i could get the recycled paper type like i used to use with my cats in australia. almost no dust, high absorbency and easy handling and disposal.
silica litter is practically essential if the cat is female, because it catches all the wee smell, female cats tend to refuse to do their poopies in a tray that smells like wee, but male cats are a lot less fussy.
