My friends in Sweden aren’t up to their eyeballs in income tax return prep right now. In fact, right now they’re on a beach in New Caledonia near Australia on a 2-month vacay. They told me that since their government already has most of the info needed to complete their tax returns, they just have to review it and add minimal additional info before signing off on it. Sounds so logical. So rational. So easy. Unlike the States’ Rube Goldberg contraption known as the Form 1040 & myriad schedules.
