Yeah, it's a blessing and a curse. They like to go broody, which means they're great at hatching new birds. The only problem is they don't lay when they're broody...
Also, if you're going to be hatching your own, make sure you have a plan for roos.
More than one and they're just useless weight that will fight, over hump your hens, and generally be a pain in the ass. So be prepared to deal with them.
