#poemaday 🥸 not proud but showing up anyway. ~


it’s so sad to see

a connection fizzle beyond the trees
so deep on chain, even you won’t pay the fees

it reminds me of what do we do when it rains…
some of us hide from the pain staring from out the window pane

some of us go out and dance, knowing there’s no one to blame

some of us hide under the umbrella shade
for touching us this water wasn’t made

some of us run as if we can miss
every drop within the mist

Some of us pause in delight
feeling only curiosity, no fright

endless possibilities, you see
but none for you or me.
just because
you won’t pay
the fee.
