There isn't really any point to that.
You *can* use merkel trees appendable only by that one user (key ownership as write capability verified by signature) if you want to be sure no messages are missing, I suppose. But tamper-resistance is as simple as cryptographic signatures & a key-addressing scheme.
Allowance for eventual upgrade of the encryption and key-type replacement would need to be considered.
