"content": "We published our teardown of the succinctly named \"MacBook\" a decade ago. This 12 inch laptop began what Apple called \"the future of the notebook,\" with USB-C, the butterfly keyboard, and soldered-down storage.\nThankfully the butterfly keyboard is dead, and we now get more than one USB port, but soldered storage sadly persists. That's a shame, because MacBooks have otherwise become more repairable over the last ten years.\nCheck out our 10-year-old MacBook teardown here: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Retina+MacBook+2015+Teardown/39841\n\nhttps://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/114/337/730/885/727/272/original/f19aa947a61e018f.jpg\nhttps://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/114/337/658/562/576/945/original/d91edeaaadafe54b.jpg",
