I think a lot of people who have studied economics (specifically microeconomics) have probably come across the terms "Luxury goods" and "inferior goods" where the demand of "luxury goods" usually increases if consumer's income increases whilst and the demand of "inferior goods" usually increases if consumer's income decreases.
