I did however use this as another practice iteration of tearing my network at the house apart and bringing half it with me, and it went well.

I brought my laptop of course, and also my personal server / dev box and the Slate Plus travel router. the 24/7 server stays at the house. everything is modular and easy to deal with after all the work I put into it. the small size is such a good feature for this.
