I think if I had Renoise on non-portable device it would probably be the perfect DAW setup. Basically a zero config setup. Open new project. Hit record. Auto slicer does its thing. Program the track.
I primarily record all my own samples from analog gear, so this workflow is perfect for me.
No hitting a button and fucking up your layout or triggering some mad setting you’ve never found before.
It’s easy enough on my MacBook, of course, I just need to plug in the audio interface, instruments etc. in but obviously that takes time.
Considering building a hard-wired setup, it’s that good.
