The crimes alleged in the Santos indictment are serious, and will probably eventually get him bounced out of congress, but it's notable that none of his colleagues seemed particularly bothered by the almost comically long string of (non criminal) fabrications that he also perpetrated. In normal times, those alone would have been sufficient to end his political career months ago.
