My market niche consists of heavy readers in a couple of fairly narrow niches.
I don't use crowdfunding because it takes sales away from open publication, reducing visibility of my work in the marketplace.
While I understand the pull of "keeping more of the money" I am not willing to sink the additional effort into an activity that actively hurts my sales.
