"content": "These beds are light to medium gray andcharacteristically weather a very light gray. Many ofthe lower beds contain thick lenses of encrinite, some ofwhich are coarsely crystalline. Even though these arepure dolomite, the relict structure of the crinoid col-umnals is preserved. Some of the dolomite beds containwell-preserved silicified corals and brachiopods, suggest-ing that dolomitization followed silicification. Light-gray to gray-brown chert nodules and quartz- andcalcite-lined geodes are common, especially in the upperpart.",
