Seeing the price action diverge so much from the news is really a mindfuck. Makes you wonder if you know anything about anything.
I get that the macro winds are blowing the wrong way, and those will turn around any day now, but if I know that, then everyone knows that, and the price action should anticipate it.
I think in the end, what you realize is markets are not efficient, price action creates doubt, doubt drives price. So the price is low because he price is low. And if the price were going to go high tomorrow, it would already be here today. And since it’s not here today, it can’t be going there tomorrow.
But if it were going to go there at some future date (which might be tomorrow) then necessarily it would have to be here at some prior date, otherwise it would already be there. So the price being here today does not mean it will be somewhere else tomorrow. But everyone knows that, and we should already be at tomorrow’s price, but we’re not, so tomorrow’s price is today’s.
Hope that clears things up.
