Handling a woman roughly does not lower a man's character. Abusing her does, unless it's warranted. Women are uppity. They sometimes need a little reminder of who the boss is. We're the ones immune to propaganda, to say nothing of our position at the head of the house. Domestic abuse is precluded by a wife truly respecting her husband.
