Occasional reminder: Mastodon DMs are…not. Multiple people in between you and the person you are “privately” messaging have instant and long-term access to the text. Don’t use mastodon DMs for _anything_ other than exchanging Signal or WhatsApp numbers unless the conversation is so trivial you wouldn’t mind seeing it entered into evidence in court.
