I tried installing a couple of "lightweight" PHP frameworks and database wrappers and... they're friggin' huge. Thousands of files. Looks like the library bloat of JavaScript has come to PHP while I was away.
So the question is, do I resurrect my 2000s era PHP micro-framework for this one-shot project? It'll take some love to get it updated to PHP 8.
