I'm interested in whether you feel the same way about this setup, which I think is mathematically equivalent (at least, it has the same moving parts):
When preparing each room, roll 100 dice. If they all land on 6, prepare the room and leave a chocolate on the pillow. Otherwise, fill the room with concrete, making it unusable.
With probability 1, there are enough rooms for everyone.
