If the devs have to maintain 3-4-5 different codebases for different devices, that's not going to be better, it's likely going to be a fragmented mess.
But alas. Obsidian is electron. One of the best and most complete electron apps I've ever seen.
OSS is not better in every way, which is why linux on the desktop has continued to suck for 30 years.
