As in “present how to do…” (where the form of presentation is flexible) vs
“Write five paragraphs each no more than five sentences long with an introduction and a summary paragraph etc”
My favorite teachers often were very strict and had high expectations about what we were learning but gave us lots of flexibility about how and what we turned in as work.
