All you kind people are making me feel like I have to defend the Peabody Awards a bit (darn you!).
It's not a scam; it's a very prestigious award. I'm sure they got the application packages and thought none of the podcasters were up to their "high standards." But they should have had a better sense of that before soliciting us.
To not give the award to anyone after asking people to apply was insulting and inconsiderate.
