I don't think "no big brother is watching" will continue to be true even if it were true today.
They'll be fed into either a legal AI or an illegal AI at some point.
I once believed nobody I knew in real life would ever be on the internet. Then they were. Actually literally all of them. The only reason they never read my usenet diaries is that actually nobody cares. If the global panopticon came to care, they would not be hard to find.
If your posts auto-delete you have a better chance. But still not much.
I like it here, it's where we own our means of communication more than anywhere else, but these words I'm typing are going into the public global archive. Just like yours did, even if you have authorized fetch and later send a delete request. They will end up in an AI brain.
