I should clear up one point: I no longer live in America and now I am Dutch, living in France.
To be honest, when the DNC announced before they nominated the VP that it would be a woman of color, I shook my head very hard.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a massively anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-sexist sort of being. But I was already looking to this day, and I felt the stakes with Trump were so great that only a straight white older guy would do.
