This is a corollary to the fact that the greatest sources of disinformation are the corporate media and the US government. People who still believe them in 2024 are credulous fools, whose laziness and willingness to be bought off by incentives is a form of dereliction.
The “conspiracy theorist” has a far healthier sense of skepticism toward unfounded claims than the person who believes world events and history have been sufficiently explained by conventional orthodoxy.
